Building Namibia’s First Green Chloro-Alkali Manufacturing Plant

Green Brine Technologies is developing Namibia’s first locally anchored Chloro-Alkali manufacturing facility, designed to convert desalination brine into essential low-carbon industrial chemicals.

Located in Wlotzkasbaken (35 km north of Swakopmund), the plant leverages brine from the existing desalination facility—turning industrial waste into high-value chemical products while strengthening Namibia’s industrial independence and environmental resilience.

Project Objectives

Establishing Namibia’s first chloro-alkali production ecosystem

Building a sustainable, circular chemical manufacturing model

Strengthening regional supply chains across Namibia and SADC

Reducing carbon footprint and industrial waste discharge

Positioning Namibia as a green chemical production hub
